I was born and grew up in rural Gisborne. I began my plumbing apprenticeship in 1990. 6 months after I started my apprenticeship the company I was working for closed its doors. I then found a company in Mt Maunganui with whom I was able to continue my training. In 1993 I moved to Lower Hutt where I completed my training. In 1996 I went to Germany where I married and had 2 children. When I returned, with my family, to NZ in 2005, we decided to settle in Hawkes Bay. I was privileged enough to find employment with Panton Plumbing, where I was involved with the construction of the Taradale Summerset. As I had been away from the NZ building industry for so long, I combined the learning the new regulations with the completing of my advance trade qualification, achieving certifying Plumber status at the end 2006, followed by certifying Drainlayer in 2007.
I left the company to start Lifestyle Plumbing & Drainage in August 2009.
The principle behind Lifestyle Plumbing and Drainage is to supply good quality workmanship using modern technologies and products, while also being aware of the environmental impact the processes cause and minimising this as much as possible.
